1. What kinds of furniture does LDS provide and install?
LDS provides and installs metal, laminate, wood, polypropylene,
stainless steel and phenolic resin cabinetry. Our cabinets are
available in various sizes, colors and door/drawer
configurations to meet your needs.

2. I am an international customer—can LDS ship product to my
location?
LDS has the capability to ship product to any United States
trading partner and will work with you and your freight
forwarder to deliver products to your facility regardless of the
size of your order.

3. I already have an architect working on a building design;
can LDS interface and work with my architect to design my lab
space?
LDS can work with the architect of your choice to help make your
lab space functional and efficient. We can design the space
independent of or in concert with your architect.

4. Does LDS provide lab relocation services?
Absolutely. LDS specializes in tear out, removal, transport and
installation of your lab whether it’s down the street or across
the country. Our seasoned professionals will take the utmost
care in moving your lab furniture to your new location.

5. What is the process involved in getting my new lab
furniture?
Normally, a purchase order begins the process. LDS will create
shop drawings for you to approve and once they’re signed and
approved, we will begin the ordering process and interface with
your staff to provide a delivery and installation schedule.
Project lead times will vary based on the materials used,
seasonal manufacturing schedules, premiums for expedited work
and the size and scope of your project. We will work with you to
provide the quickest delivery possible.

6. What types of counter tops are available for my lab?
LDS can provide high-pressure laminate, chemsurf, epoxy,
phenolic resin, stainless steel, polypropylene, impregnated
stone, granite, DuPont Corian and maple hardwood tops. These are
available in a variety of colors and textures to meet your
needs.

7. I have special requirements in my lab, such as ADA sized
materials; can LDS design and provide a space that meets those
requirements?
LDS can work with you to make sure your lab space meets ADA
requirements. Our expert design staff will tailor your space so
that functionality isn’t compromised when we create the design.

8. Can LDS test my fume hood?
LDS can provide a 5-point inspection for your chemical fume
hood. This inspection includes checking:
a. belts and pulleys
b. blower motors and bearings
c. liner and structure of hood
d. ducting
e. air flow and testing

9. Can LDS help me with ADA requirements?
LDS can provide laboratory furniture and fume hoods that are ADA
accessible. Proper heights, widths and depths of casework
assemblies, with ADA standards for aisle space, can accommodate
provisions required for ADA workstations. Kneespace components
are available for ADA guidelines needed to allow proper spacing
required for wheelchair clearance. LDS offers fume hoods, sinks
and fixtures that are designed for the unique needs of
wheelchair operators. The LDS ADA fume hood is designed to
provide a safe and comfortable work area for a wheelchair-bound
person. The extended height of the sash also makes the ADA fume
hood a practical workstation for a standing individual. Please
